My name is Crystal Pruett, and I LOVE
weddings! I photograph them - not because I have to for the money - because I
WANT to, because I love the emotion and romance of your wedding. I will be
photographing your wedding personally
so when you see my work you know that you'll receive the same
quality at your own wedding.
A moment
lasts lifetimes through photography, captured in an instant stopping time
forever. Taking a wedding picture is not just to "point and shoot" – it's living
an experience. Your wedding is the most important event of your life, full of
excitement, emotions, friends, family, and love. I record the living memories of
that special day and create unique images for you to cherish and relive that
event for the rest of your life. I try to capture all the tender moments of the
day—the planned, the unplanned and the spontaneous—through the lens of my
camera. In essence, I shoot a wedding like a documentary.
Photography is magic. It is
power. It is the ability to stop the world’s spinning and preserve the beauty of
a moment that would have otherwise been lost to time. Your wedding only lasts a

beautiful "Emotional Moments" that you will never experience again in your
life. Those "Moments" are what I am driven to capture for you.
From your hand-made
aisle runner to your chandelier earrings, from your husband’s look of admiration
as he glimpses you walking down the aisle to the tears in your father’s eyes as
he gives you away.
We capture the details and
moments that breathe life into your wedding.
We do not seek to direct
the course of events on your wedding day. We instead allow the day to progress
naturally, so we can capture each moment as it unfolds before us. The atmosphere
remains fun and natural, which brings out the best in you and your husband.
My approach and philosophy to
wedding photography is photojournalism. With this mindset, my intention is to
stay out of the way of the events and let the wedding unfold naturally, this
allows me to capture the most genuine moments possible while also allowing you
to enjoy your wedding as much as possible. The only real time that I will get
involved and direct any part of your wedding is during the family portraits and
wedding party portraits, when we will be inside the church, at a local park or
anywhere else that you have in mind. The rest of the wedding will take place
with me as an active observer who seems invisible but who photographs everything
meaningful.
Many of my wedding photography
packages come with a second photographer, whose job is to photograph the wedding
from a second creative perspective. The second photographer will photograph the
groom getting ready while I photograph the bride getting ready, the second
photographer will photograph the ceremony from the balcony while I am in back or
the side of the church, the second photographer will photograph the cocktail
hour while I photograph the portraits and the second photographer will focus on
the details while I focus on the people.
Many of the packages come with
a complimentary engagement portrait session and the reason for the engagement
session is to get you used to being photographed, since most people have never
really had a photographer with them photographing them naturally for a day.
We’ll spend an hour or two making some great portraits and talking about your
wedding so that when your wedding day comes you are completely comfortable with
me and fully aware of what to expect so that we can start right in with the
getting ready photos.

are customized to meet your needs.

style of photography blends together photojournalistic, candid style and the
best of the traditional group shots to ensure you get the photographs you really
want. Simply put, we capture all the love, laughter, family and friends -- the

I ONLY photograph ONE wedding
per weekend. I won't be rushing from or to get to another wedding. I
understand how important this day is to you, and I am there for you! This
also means that I'm rested and energetic. It also means I'm enthusiastic about
what I will be doing for you. I want to capture the EMOTIONS, ROMANCE,
LOVE, AND RELATIONSHIPS between you and your husband (doesn't that sound
exciting?! Your "husband!") and also between you and your family and
friends. And since I only photograph one wedding a day, I'm not tired or
"burned out on your important day."
In my humble opinion, the tender
fabric of your life is sewn together with beautiful, emotional moments between
you and your loved ones, and I want to capture and express all those wonderful
moments for you in your wedding volumes - and accomplish this without
interfering with the emotions and romance of your wedding day.
